Monique Medeiros

Monique Medeiros is a professor at the Amazon Institute of Family Farming (INEAF) at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), Brazil, where she is affiliated with the Graduate Program in Amazonian Agriculture (PPGAA). She holds a PhD in Agroecosystems, with a focus on Sustainable Rural Development, from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), including a doctoral research fellowship at the ARTDev Joint Research Unit (Université de Montpellier 3, France) through the CAPES/COFECUB program. She leads the Research Group on Reterritorialities and Social Injustices through Amazonian Perspectives (RIOS), a researcher with the AgriTerris Network and the Brazil Natural Resource Governance Initiative (BNRGI), and a socio-environmental researcher in the AmazonFACE project. Her current research focuses on social injustice, water insecurity, and socio-environmental transformations in the Brazilian Amazon.
