Natalie Kirby

I have split my career working in academic research settings and applying that knowledge in early intervention settings. My research and interests focus on supporting child development and child-parent relationships during everyday moments, including play and playful activities, such as book sharing. I most recently completed my PhD in Education at the Play in Education, Development and Learning Research Centre at the University of Cambridge. Prior to that I completed my MSc in Child Development and Education at the University of Oxford and my BSc (Hons) in Psychology at Durham University. I have also worked in various settings (homes, schools, clinics, and hospitals) supporting the learning and mental wellbeing of children, including those with additional support needs (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder, English as an Additional Language).
