Nicola Lockhart

Nicola Lockhart is a Lecturer and Course Coordinator in Security Science at Edith Cowan University, where she coordinates the Bachelor of Counter-Terrorism, Security and Intelligence and serves as Deputy Lead of the University's Security and Intelligence Research Group. She holds an LLB and a PhD examining the mechanisms, barriers and sphere of influence through which corporate security shapes organisational decision-making.

A pracademic with more than two decades of operational security experience, including counter-terrorism fieldwork in Northern Ireland, her research spans corporate security governance and influence, radicalisation and violent extremism, surveillance studies, and counter-terrorism. She is Book Review Editor for Security Journal and sits on the ASIS International Foundation Research Committee.
