Nicole Torres Tamayo

I am an evolutionary biologist and paleoanthropologist specializing in the morphology and functional anatomy of the human and non-human primate musculoskeletal system. My research focuses on evolutionary adaptations of the torso and pelvis, applying 3D geometric morphometrics and statistical shape modelling to understand locomotion and obstetrics function in hominins and primates. I am actively involved in open science initiatives, advocating for accessibility and transparency in research.
