Nolan Roth

Nolan Roth is a postdoctoral scientists in The Ohio State University's Marine Geology and Geohazards Lab who has experience in geosciences and astrobiology. He is working on experiments that can help us understand more about how near-surface offshore sediments behave in response to seismicity. By comparing the responses of resedimented core material from active and passive margins, he hopes to isolate the effects of long-term shaking on seafloor stability. His research has included studying the use of seismic imaging to locate aquifers on Mars and how "thunderquakes" might be used for seismic imaging on Earth.
