Dr. Oisín Creaner is an astrophysicist and assistant professor at Dublin City University (DCU), where he lectures in Physics with Data Analytics. His passion for astronomy started in early childhood, watching "Star Trek" and "The Sky at Night". He has enjoyed spreading the love for everything to do with space for over ten years by giving talks to the public and schools. He is the Principal Investigator for "Star Guide: Showing Citizen Scientists the Best View of Exoplanets." He works with NASA's Exoplanet Watch and ESA-supported ExoClock projects which empower citizen scientists to observe alien worlds, known as "exoplanets." He uses high-performance computers including AI to analyse astronomical images, searching for signs of life. He currently lives in Co. Wexford, Ireland with his partner Anna, and their two cats.
