Olga Dodd

Dr. Olga Dodd is an Associate Professor in Finance and Director of the Auckland Centre for Financial Research. She is the Editor of Applied Finance Letters (AFL) and an Associate Editor of the International Review of Financial Analysis (IRFA) and the Journal of Climate Finance (JCLF). Her research spans international finance, geopolitical risk, climate change, corporate finance and governance, and the role of culture in financial decision-making. Her work is widely published in leading academic journals and regularly presented at international conferences.

Olga completed her PhD in Finance at Durham University in the United Kingdom. She has extensive teaching experience, particularly in international finance and financial markets and institutions at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Olga has received multiple awards for excellence in research and teaching, including the Faculty of Business, Economics, and Law awards in 2016 and 2020.

Before her academic career, Olga spent eight years in Ukraine’s financial sector, specialising in corporate finance and banking. She is also a founding member and Treasurer of the New Zealand Ukraine Business Association (NZUBA).
