Oluwabusayo Wuraola

Oluwabusayo is a lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University. She is the Lead for the Access to Environmental Justice (including Ecological Justice and Species Justice) Research Cluster at the Centre for Access to Justice and Inclusion, Anglia Ruskin University; and a knowledge expert member of the United Nations Harmony with Nature Programme.

She has a PhD degree in Law from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom. Oluwabusayo's thesis focused mainly on the “Representation of Ecosystems as Legal Persons”. Oluwabusayo also has a Masters degree (LLM) in Law from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria and her thesis focused on "The Effectiveness of the Enforcement of Environmental Laws". Oluwabusayo is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, United Kingdom, and she holds a PostGraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education.

Oluwabusayo was called to the Nigerian Bar and became a Barrister and Solicitor of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in February 2012. In the same year, Oluwabusayo represented the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Nigeria as a State Counsel on land matters at the Legal Services Secretariat, Federal Capital Development Authority, Abuja, Nigeria.

Oluwabusayo has over ten years of teaching and research experience in law. Oluwabusayo engages in research in different areas of law including Environmental Law and Justice, Earth Jurisprudence, Rights of Nature, Land Law, Family Law, Customary Law, and Legal Systems, and has published in these areas.
