Pedro Antonio De la Rosa Fernández-Pacheco

Pedro de la Rosa (Ph.D., MPH, MD, BTh) is a physician and public health researcher whose work focuses on adolescent and young adult health, health education, alcohol use, digital media, and well-being. He has been a postdoctoral fellow with the Human Flourishing Program at Harvard University and a researcher at the Institute for Culture and Society at the University of Navarra.

His recent research includes cross-national studies on alcohol use and its childhood and demographic predictors using data from the Global Flourishing Study, outcome-wide longitudinal research on screen-based leisure and adult health and well-being, and school-based interventions aimed at promoting kindness, character development, and positive social relationships among children and adolescents. He has also worked on projects examining digital leisure, behavioral addictions, gaming, moral development, and flourishing.

He completed his doctoral studies in Biomedicine and Applied Medicine at the University of Navarra, where his dissertation focused on the effectiveness of gamification as a tool to improve school-based health education programs. He completed a Preventive Medicine and Public Health residency at the Hospital Complex of Navarra. He received his master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Alcalá de Henares and his undergraduate degree in Medicine from the University of Navarra.
