Philip Cox is an associate professor at UCL. Before that, he served as a senior lecturer of anatomy at Hull York Medical School and University of York.

Cox is editor-in-chief of the Journal of Anatomy. His research interests include zoology, evolutionary biology, animal structure and function and biomechanics.
