Rani Bhatia

I completed my postgraduate training in Paediatrics at Perth and Newcastle and was awarded General Paediatric Fellowship in 2006. Subsequently I underwent further extensive training in allergy and immunology, obtaining dual fellowship in Paediatric Allergy & Immunology in 2008.

I enjoy clinical work and am also involved in research in the fields of clinical food allergy and eczema and immunological conditions affecting children. I have received several prestigious grants.

I work as a Senior Staff Specialist in Paediatric Allergy & Immunology at the John Hunter Children’s Hospital in Newcastle, NSW. I am involved in medical student teaching and mentorship (HCRF research mentor of the year 2010) as a Conjoint Lecturer at the University of Newcastle.
