My latest book is 'Allan Pinkerton: America's Legendary Detective and the Birth of Private Security' (Georgetown University Press, 2025).
In all I have written 20 books on American history. One of my main focuses is on secret intelligence. Thus, I have written books about the FBI, US-UK intelligence relations, and the history of surveillance.
My media contributions have been in the USA, UK, and several other countries, and I am a veteran of book festivals.
