Dr Robert Butler is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at University College Cork. He is an associate editor with Economic Inquiry and Economic and Social Review and sits on the Board of the European Sport Economic Association.
His research has been published in leading international journals including the British Journal of Industrial Relations, European Journal of Operational Research, Kyklos, European Sports Management Quarterly, Journal of Institutional Economics and Journal of Sports Economics. He has also worked on a European Commission project on fan ownership in football. Some of his work in the area of sports economics can be found at www.sportseconomics.org.
