Robert N. Ulrich

I’m a scientist and science communicator working at the intersection of identity, research, and justice. Trained as a wet-lab chemist, I now use data science, AI, and machine learning to tackle geochemical and geobiological questions—from environmental change on Earth to the search for life beyond it. I’ve led and helped scale national science-equity and environmental justice initiatives, including securing major grants, building public-facing storytelling campaigns, and supporting leaders across research and community organizations. I also co-founded the Reclaiming STEM Institute, which has trained 500+ emerging scientists in inclusive science communication and policy engagement.
