Robyn Timothy

My research interests are focused on feminist theory, gender, bodies, sexualities, and popular cultures. Within this I am interested in researching representation and how it matters, the social, cultural, and political contexts of popular culture, and how women experience selves and identities.

My PhD research explored how digital feminist artists experienced digital spaces with a particular focus on how their bodies mattered in the production of their art. I examined themes of power, resistance, and the subtlety of feminist practice. In more recent research I have been interested in examining popular media with feminist theory.
