Russell Dean Christopher Bicknell

Russell D.C. Bicknell is an ARC DECRA Fellow at Flinders University, Australia. Prior to this position he completed his PhD at the University of New England, Australia, having moved from New Zealand to pursue his interest in invertebrate palaeontology and evolutionary biology. He subsequently undertook research in the United States, including at the American Museum of Natural History, expanding his work into virtual palaeobiology and broader evolutionary questions. While engaged with a range of palaeontological topics, he has focused much of his research on arthropods, particularly trilobites, horseshoe crabs, and other chelicerates, integrating systematic approaches with quantitative analyses.
