Ryan Gibson is the Libro Professor of Regional Economic Development and the Director of the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development at the University of Guelph. With a deep passion for fostering sustainable and inclusive rural communities, my work centers on enhancing rural places and economies through place-based strategies, governance, and policy advancements. His research explores community-led economic development, rural immigration and mobility, multi-level governance, place-based development, and philanthropy's role in community development and prosperity.
