I am an interdisciplinary researcher with over 17 years of experience in academia in the UK and abroad. I draw on expertise in anthropology, public health, gender studies and sociology. My educational background includes a PhD in Social Sciences (UK), MPH (UK), an MSc in Public Health, specialising in Social and Health Protection (Poland) and an MSc in Anthropology (Pakistan).

Currently, I am the principal investigator for the Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) funded project investigating the intersections among gender, maternal health and climate risks in Pakistan and co-investigator on the UKRI-AHRC funded project “Nursing Narratives: Racism and the Pandemic”. My research area is Global Public Health, focusing on health inequalities, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) in health and social care research, gender, violence (particularly honour-based abuse/honour crimes and honour killings), and racism in the health and social care sectors. I have conducted several research projects in the UK, Pakistan, Indonesia, and the Philippines. I have published 20 peer-reviewed research papers in high-quality international journals and four book chapters and presented my research at more than 35 conferences worldwide. Beyond academia, my influence extends to the public through my insightful contributions to platforms like Conversation UK, The Express Tribune, the Friday Times, and other media outlets.

My expertise in collaborative leadership, equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), critical thinking, qualitative research, and strong oral and written communication make me a standout candidate.
