Chief engineer for the French Ministry of Transport and Equipment, I have held several managerial positions in the French Agency in charge of aircraft accident and incident investigations (BEA), notably as Head of Major Investigations. I headed the Airspace and Air Navigation Regulation Department at the French Civil Aviation Authority and co-founded a start-up which produces decision support software. I'm now Associate Professor at the Centre for Research on Risks and Crises at MINES ParisTech.
