Shadreck Muchaku

Dr. Muchaku is an adjunct professor at the University of Venda and a researcher at the University of Fort Hare. He holds a PhD in Rural Development and has extensive experience in interdisciplinary research, teaching, and postgraduate supervision. His research examines the intersections of WASH, climate resilience, indigenous knowledge systems, governance, public health, and sustainable rural development. He has previously served as a technical expert for the IC4LED project and held a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of the Free State. Dr. Muchaku has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and continues to contribute to research and policy debates on climate adaptation, rural livelihoods, governance, and community development across Southern Africa.
