A biochemist and ardent mosquitophile, Shüné has been a medical scientist at the National Institute for Communicable Diseases for 14 years as well as a researcher with the Wits Research Institute for Malaria. Her research interests involve understanding the role of insecticide resistance in a changing world, with a focus on harnessing basic biological knowledge for integrated vector control.
