Stephanie Chambers

Dr Stephanie Chambers is a Senior Lecturer in Sociology of Health and Wellbeing at the University of Glasgow. Her research is focused on improving health, particularly children's health. Current projects that she is working on include understanding emotionally-based school non-attendance, community based food markets, the role of intergenerational connections to promote wellbeing, and historical and contemporary understandings of school holidays. She has expertise in qualitative methods, evidence synthesis and the design and evaluation of complex interventions. Stephanie has had previous roles at the Universities of Dundee and Reading. She has a BA in English and Politics (Strathclyde), an MSc in Public Policy (Strathclyde) and PhD in Food Policy (Reading).
