Stephen Dobson

Professor Stephen Dobson was born in Zambia, grew up in England moved to Norway in the 80s. He is now Vice Rector in Gjøvik, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Dobson possesses deep knowledge and experience of education eco-systems across SE. Asia, Europe and Scandinavia. He has a Phd in refugee work and a second Phd in assessment. He is a Guest Professor in Lifelong Learning at Norway Inland University and holds an Adjunct Professorship at Central Queensland University, Australia; where he was previously Dean of the School of Education and the Arts. Dobson has published on student assessment, youth studies, ethnicity, research methods and educational philosophy. He has taught courses on student assessment to undergraduates and post-graduates and has held many workshops for in-service teachers.
