Stephen Harding

Professor Steve Harding is Director of the National Centre for Macromolecular Hydrodynamics (www.nottingham.ac.uk/ncmh), and is also a member of the Centre for the Study of the Viking Age (www.nottingham.ac.uk/csva), both located at the University of Nottingham. He is also a member of the “Saving the Oseberg” project (www.khm.uio.no/english/research/projects/saving-oseberg/), trying to help preserve the artefacts from Norways National Treasure - the Oseberg ship.

Trained by the man who discovered hydrogen bonds in DNA (JM Creeth) he instigated, with Prof. Mark Jobling, the Genetic Survey of NW England which led to the book (with Mark and Dr. Turi King) "Viking DNA" (CRC Press, 2010).
