Swee-Hoon Chuah is a Professor of Behavioural Economics at the University of Tasmania. Swee-Hoon holds a PhD in behavioural and experimental economics from the University of Nottingham in the UK, where she trained at the Centre for Decision Research and Experimental Economics (CeDEx). Her particular research interest is in cross-cultural experimental economics where she investigates the impact of factors such as values, race and religion on economic behaviour. She also uses experiments to study behaviour in online environments. Her work has attracted significant amounts of funding from governmental agencies and research councils in the UK and the US, and has been published in journals such as European Economic Review, Experimental Economics, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Journal of Economic Psychology and Theory and Decision.
