Tara-Lyn Camilleri

I’m an interdisciplinary writer and researcher with a PhD in evolutionary biology from Monash University. My academic background spans psychology, anthropology, and biology, and I’ve worked in research and teaching roles at the University of Oxford, ANU, and Monash.

My work explores how biological, cultural, and social systems interact to shape human behaviour—across generations, within systems, and through time. I write at the intersection of science and society, using systems thinking to challenge overly simplistic narratives about choice, trauma, and human nature.
