Thomas Caffrey graduated from his PhD in 2025, with a thesis entitled 'If Not Japan, Where? Towards a Murakami-land in the Fictions of Haruki Murakami' under the supervision of Dr Michael Hinds.

Thomas is keenly interested in cinema, Japanese literature, and horror. He has presented at conferences in Ireland, the UK, and Japan.
