Thomas Morgan

I am an Associate Professor of Evolutionary Anthropology at the Institute of Human Origins and Arizona State University. My research examines the evolution of the human mind, culture and behavior as well as how these capacities feed back into genetic evolution and reshape evolutionary dynamics. I use a combination of lab experiments and formal theory, integrating learning and culture into an evolutionary framework. Prior to joining ASU in 2016, I worked under Tom Griffiths in the computational cognitive science lab at UC Berkeley and under Kevin Lala at the University of St Andrews.
