Thomas Peachey

I am a 3D imaging specialist with a particular interest in applications that advance you use and accessibility of biodiversity collections. My graduate studies utilized 3D scanning to examine the global distribution and variability of the shape of bat skulls. My current work involves using photogrammetry, structured light and computed tomography to produce scans of the Australian Museum's extensive collections for research, outreach and collections management purposes. I am particularly interested in tackling the administrative and technical challenges that face collections in being able to store, manage and share their 3D scan data.
