Tim Shephard

I'm a cultural historian specialising in the music and art of Renaissance Italy. I've published several books and academic journal articles on the representation of music in art, and music patronage at the Italian courts. I regularly speak on these topics at events in Europe and North America, and occasionally on BBC Radio 3. I joined the University of Sheffield in 2012, following appointments at Worcester College (Oxford University), and the University of Nottingham.
