Prof. Ed Witkowski (Chair in Plant Ecology, 2004-) is a multidisciplinary ecologist, with interests in plant ecology in numerous biomes, conservation of endangered plants and ecosystems, ecology and control of invasive alien plants and their impacts on ecosystem structure and function, restoration ecology, natural resource management, and termite ecology. Regeneration ecology of savanna trees is one of his main specific interests.
