I am a Professor in the Department of Microbiology & Immunology at the University of British Columbia. My current research interests are focused on the bacteriophage-like gene transfer agent of the bacterium Rhodobacter capsulatus, and I have contributed to diverse areas of photosynthesis research, using a broad array of approaches. I have been fortunate to have had a funded research program for over 30 years.
