- PhD student - Food, Microbiomes and Health, Quadram Institute
After I graduated from the MSc Nutritional Epidemiology and Public Health at Wageningen University, my love for science brought me to the Wellcome Trust-funded EDESIA PhD programme at Norwich Research Park. Here, I study how plant-based nutrition can contribute to sustain a healthier population and planet. I am especially interested in the role of dietary polyphenols on the gut microbiome and cardiometabolic health. Besides doing a PhD, I am a Science Mentor and Brilliant Club Tutor, because I love to transmit the scientific messages to easy-to-understand context and teach kids what makes science so cool.
