Ndidzulafhi Innocent Sinthumule

Prof Sinthumule has over 20 years of teaching and research experience in the field of human geography and environmental management. His research interests are in five different yet related themes covering i) transfrontier conservation, ii) environmental conservation and society, iii) borders and regions, iv) land reform and v) indigenous knowledge systems. I use these themes to engage with broader debates on the conceptions and institutionalisation of borders and their (im)materiality, territorial politics, regionalisms, conservation, and the society–nature relations. I have produced more than 40 peer-reviewed papers (articles, book chapters, a book, and conference proceedings) that have appeared in international journals including Global Ecology and Conservation, Journal of Nature Conservation, Geographical Review, Tropical Conservation Science, Landscape Research, Journal of Land Use Science, Frontiers in Environmental Science, and African Geographical Review, to mention a few.
